About the essay

This photographic essay presents a visual record of the architectural heritage of the city of Caicó, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Based on photographic studies carried out in historic urban spaces, the work seeks to document buildings, architectural features, and urban landscapes that constitute the material memory of the city. The images highlight characteristic elements of regional architecture, contributing to the appreciation of local cultural heritage and to reflections on historical preservation processes. The photographic set proposes an aesthetic and documentary reading of the urban space, emphasizing photography as an instrument for historical recording, cultural interpretation, and preservation of collective memory.
